The Project Miata

The 510 is taking a long time to finish. And I was getting tried of driving just a stock Miata (HEY at least it's RWD). I wanted  cheap instant gratification. So I turbo'd  my Miata in one day, for under $400 with a lot of help from my friends. Thanks Bryan and Chris

Awww a little one point sucks................ I mean 1.6L

Duct tap is your friend, so is the Flyin' Miata turbo install instructions. use them both

(that's Bryan fitting the intake)

The idea of the project was to be finished in a day. I didn't spend much time on the exhaust. the T25 with the GReddy nock off manifold does not leave much room for exhaust about 2 5/8 to be exact. The was the only way to fit 2 1/2 tube

Yes, It was a VERY loud  drive home.

  Got it running
We started at 11:00 Am, Finished at 4:00 Am.  Then  we tuned it pig rich, drove home and was promptly pulled over for loud exhaust lucky for me the cop thought it was Bryan in his 240sx. I later I welded on a $20 Cherry Bomb...hahahaa

How Does it drive?

Holy shit, this jerry rigged setup works REALLY well. I have not dyno'd it or raced any one but it is A LOT faster. It has a lot of lag, It doesn't make 7psi until 4500 rpm. But when it does it sure is fun. This was a really fun project and I'm happy I did it. The only problem I had was it blew a spark plug out of the head!!!! but that was a easy fix (helicoil)

Project Status: SOLD to Chris for $1200.  I need money for the CHEVY PROJECT
