Weld first ask questions later... That's my motto. Here you can see some of the seam welding I've done, There is a lot of it . Also the back of the fender well has been moved back about 2 inches

here is the other side. I think I've used about 4lbs of welding wire just seam welding
What it looked like before I moved it back
Soooo much work..... but I love it.
Is it a 2 door?

Is it a 4 door?

No its a 3 door 510. It was a 4 door car but I drilled out the spot welds and moved the door post back about 6 inches. I'm using 2 door doors for the front. For the back I'm cutting the skins off the back doors and welding them in place

It will be a 2 door 510 when I'm done

you can see here were the post use to be, and were it is now.
There is a A LOT of spot welds that need to be drilled out

The roof tapers down a little bit. so if you don't shorten the door post it will bend the top piece of sheet metal on the rocker box when you move the it back, like I did.
Its not as hard as I thought it would be to weld the door skin in.
I had to make a filler panel to go for the skin to the door post
I finally got the door in, but there was a 1/4" gap at the top of the window frame and a 5/8" gap a the bottom of the window frame.

So I cut the post on along the back side and pushed the bottom to fix the gap, I'll have better pics later

finally got trunk delete kit installed. had to make room for my roll cage/tube frame, coilovers, big tires and fuel cell
I used up about 12 cutoff wheels cutting it out
No, I didn't even bother cleaning out the trunk before I cut it out.
hey look.. I got a 510 hovercraft.
